For the past month, I have been performing HIT as Mike Mentzer described in his self titled DVD. It calls for using a slow rep speed. He uses the term cadence. So for instance, a rep would look something like this, 4 seconds from extension into the concentric contraction, hold at max contraction for 3 seconds, and another 4 seconds for the eccentric movement, back to full extension. I have worked on my lats a few times this way and have made certain improvement on them with this method of slowing down the rep speed.
