I'm interested in discussing the suit rules for physique. I am a litte disappointed in the long shorts as I feel it encourages folks to skip heavy leg training, and I also feel it would help me if I compete. I am not advocating bikini trunks, but a mid-thigh rule would be better in my opinion.
Let me hear some pro/con arguments if you have them.

The shorts are not supposed to be too long. Just above the knee is recommended. However some of these competitors are wearing extra baggy and long shorts that look straight up retarded.

I agree. I think the shorts should be much shorter, so we can show our legs. Boxer briefs maybe?

I think a mid thigh short or square brief would be great to show the leg. In the future perhaps the rules will change. As it stands now be sure to pick the most flattering Board Shorts you can.

The swim trunks Daniel Craig wears in Casino Royale would be perfect imo. Attachments:![](//storage.proboards.com/3295377/thumbnailer/AcNuRKVY2po_XI08g14c.jpg)

I hope the NPC people see these posts because I'm a MP competitor and hate the board shorts myself. Backstage I'm talking to other competitors and some have completely stopped working their legs as it doesn't matter and they can spend an extra day a week on upper body when they stopped this is not the sport I grew up doing. There is literally no other class where a major body part is HIDDEN so the comparison from MP to bikini doesn't make sense. Could you imagine if we said bikini class were gonna make you wear skirts to hide your but and legs? This wouldn't make any sense at all but for some reason board shorts that cover everything is a good idea? Mid thigh boardshorts or european spandex square swim trunks would solve the problem and make only real physiques show up on stage. NPC figure this shiz out everyone hates the baggy boardshorts!!!

I agree. This is not a men's upper body contest, it's me's physique which should include the entire physique. I don't beleive the attire has to be form fitting like spandex but something that at leats shows some sort of shape in the quads and hams. Why guuys quit training legs is beyond me. These people still have lives and I would hate to go to the beach with chicken legs regardless of what I judged on in a show.
